Spring and yet more of the yarning along

It's Spring here!!!

On Sunday we had a fathers day picnic at the park next to my sisters house, and there was much evidence of new growth everywhere.

It was a lovely day

As it's Wednesday, I am again linking in with Ginny at Small Things for her Yarn Along
http://www.gsheller.com/2011/09/yarn-along.html

This week I am reading, (almost finished now) another book by Camilla Lackberg.

I read her most recent book a few weeks ago, and really enjoyed it. I was inspired to begin tracking down some of her earlier books. I love discovering a new author, and finding they have written mobs of books for me to read!!!!
Her books are set in Sweden, and the sense of place is just really well done.
I am almost at the end, and it's quite suspenseful.

These are flowers I got this week which cheered me up no end. The colours remind me of the spring blanket I'm making, which is pictured with the book. I wanted it to be the colours of the sea and sand.

I will leave you with a photo of my favourite tree from my morning walk, and  the hope that you are having an awesome week, and that if you are not, that tomorrow is better, and something happens to make you smile!

  1. Wow, a whole blog dedicated to crochet? I love that I found you through Ginny! I just learned how to crochet this past Spring.
I'm in the states and we will be entering fall in the next couple of months.
I can't wait to scroll through your blog and check out your other projects.

  10. That tree is treemendous(see what I did there...) and reminds me of a book I read as a kid called the Learning Tree and the Lemonade.
Just had a major flashback about it.
Lovely post, great spring colours. I am trying to embrace autumn and winter but I am a true spring and summer gal thru and thru.
Laughed at your comment on my blog re the Prince and lipstick. So you wear bright lippy too??? I LOVE it and have worn it years and years.
My mum does too and when we have family gatherings, everyone walks around with two lipstick marks on their cheeks. It's our trademark!!
And yes I want a day of smacking annoying people and then saying "sorry about that".....wouldn't it be great!

  11. That tree makes me want to dance. I know it sounds silly, but I LOVE trees. Is that weird? I didn't ever think it was, but typing it out makes it seem like a weird fetish or something. lol

Reading and crocheting, and beautiful trees...what a life! :0)

I'm still soooo impressed at your "fly by the seat of your pants" crochet skills!
