I thought I would share with you all some photos from this mornings walk.
It started out quite foggy
Everything was shrouded in mist
It was one of those beautiful mornings where you just feel happy
And the day is off to a great start.
I decided to try something different on the weekend.
I had bought a wooden letter M for Daughter#1, and gave decoupage a go
I wanted to make it really sweet, so she could hang it in her room, and be reminded of her favourite childhood books
So I took to some old books with some scissors and slaughtered them. (Yes, I know that makes me sound somewhat like a serial killer)
All for a good cause
And to end today's post, here are some photos of my lunchtime walk around the lake
This statue always reminds me of the Loch Ness monster
Can you pick which birds are real and which are statues?
I hope your week is lovely and filled with sunshine and happy things :)
I love your early morning photos, stoic and beautiful. These are the benefits of early rising. Yesterday I was up at 4a.m, I took the puppy into the garden, and appreciated the sound of geese waking on the nature reserve.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of your walks. I have been trying to walk here but it is soooooo hot. I have a headache all day after I do my 4 miles. I would like a little coolness.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day,
Meredith
Wow, beautiful walk photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the decoupage letter - my daughter's name begins with M too (your daughter must be a good egg...)

Fantastic morning photos! Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteTwo walks in one day, how wonderful! It is way too hot here to get out and about. Hubby walked yesterday evening and came back drenched with sweat from the humidity. He looked like someone dumped a bucket of water on him. Your decoupaged M came out lovely. I need to get back to paper crafting and decoupaging as I haven't done it in quite a while. Hope you are having a great week. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteI'm so awful at the early morning thing, I do envy people (like my husband who is up for a run every day at 5am!) who can do it! What a beautiful local park you have to walk around x
ReplyDeleteThat is a MAGNIFICENT statue! I love it! It reminds me of a "statue" type thing made of metal that lies between Redding, CA and Medford, OR somewhere on I-5. It is this scrap metal dragon creature... every time I take that trip I look out for it. It makes the trip that much more awesome!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your M! That is just wonderful. I have never done decoupage before, is it easy to pick up? You have great images in there!
ReplyDeleteI can guarantee you...it's not Nessie :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Loch Ness
